The story follows Rapunzel, a feisty teenager who has spent her entire life bound to a mysterious tower by her overprotective mother. Rapunzel possesses seventy feet of magical golden hair and yearns to see the world outside her confinement, specifically the sky lanterns released on her eighteenth birthday. Her life changes when Flynn Rider, a charming and wanted thief, stumbles upon the tower while hiding from authorities. Rapunzel takes him hostage, and the duo strikes a deal to escape the tower together. This decision launches an action-packed, comical adventure that leads Rapunzel to discover the world for the first time and learn the truth about who she really is.
