Squidbillies is an animated television series produced by Williams Street Studios for the Adult Swim programming block of Cartoon Network. The show is about the Cuylers, an impoverished family of anthropomorphic hillbilly mud squids living in the Appalachian region of Georgia's mountains. It is written by Dave Willis and Jim Fortier, who have also worked on other Adult Swim series such as Space Ghost Coast to Coast. The animation is done by Awesome Incorporated, with background design by Ben Prisk. The series premiered on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block, and it has been a part of the network's lineup since then.
