Speechless is an American television sitcom that premiered on ABC on September 21 2016 and concluded on April 12 2019. The series was created by Scott Silveri and co‑executive produced by Christine Gernon, Jake Kasdan and Melvin Mar. It was produced as a joint effort by 20th Century Fox Television and ABC Studios. The show follows Maya DiMeo, a mother determined to support her family, which includes her husband Jimmy and their three children—Ray, Dylan and JJ, the eldest son who has special needs.
