SINGER is a large-scale singing competition television program co-produced by Hunan Broadcasting System (HBS) and Mango TV. Originally titled I Am a Singer, the show premiered in January 2013 and was adapted from the Korean reality show of the same name produced by MBC. The series features established vocalists from the Chinese music industry as well as internationally renowned artists who compete on stage. Each episode's results are determined by a panel of 500 in-studio audience judges who vote to decide the singers' rankings and eliminations. After four seasons under the original title, the program was rebranded simply as SINGER beginning in 2017, while retaining its core competitive format. The show continues to air new seasons annually, maintaining its focus on live musical performance and audience participation.
