Overview

Simon and Simon is an American crime drama television series that aired on the CBS network from 1981 to 1988. Created by Philip DeGuere Jr., the program follows two brothers who operate a private detective agency in San Diego, California. The series stars Jameson Parker as A.J. Simon, a polished individual with a preference for tailored suits and classic cars, and Gerald McRaney as his older brother, Rick Simon, who favors cowboy boots and four-wheel drive pickup trucks. Despite their opposite personalities, the brothers work together to investigate various crimes. The production features a recurring cast that includes Mary Carver as the brothers' mother, Cecilia Simon, and Tim Reid as Lieutenant Marcel P. Downtown Brown. The series consisted of 156 one-hour episodes and was followed by a television movie. Throughout their investigations, the siblings encounter diverse cases, such as a search for a girl kidnapped by her explosives-expert father during a journey to Mexico.
