Overview

Silo is an American science fiction dystopian drama television series created by Graham Yost. The show is based on the Silo trilogy of novels written by author Hugh Howey, which includes the books Wool, Shift, and Dust. The narrative is set in a ruined and toxic future where a community of 10,000 people resides within a giant underground structure comprising 144 levels. Residents follow specific regulations that they believe are necessary to protect them from the dangerous world on the surface. The cast features Rebecca Ferguson, Common, Chinaza Uche, and Harriet Walter. The story follows an engineer named Juliette who begins to uncover shocking secrets and the truth about the silo after the local sheriff breaks a cardinal rule and several residents die under mysterious circumstances. As the series progresses, the narrative continues to explore this society while revealing an origin story set centuries earlier. The program premiered in 2023 and is available on Apple TV.
