Overview

Shrieker is a 1998 horror film directed by David DeCoteau and released on DVD on March 3, 1998, by Wizard, with subsequent home video releases following in later years. The film stars Tanya Dempsey, Jamie Gannon, Parry Shen, and Alison Cuffe. The story centers on a young mathematics major named Clark, played by Tanya Dempsey, who believes she has found an ideal student housing deal by secretly moving into an abandoned hospital with a group of quirky squatters. The residents allow her into their community under strict rules, including keeping her living arrangements a secret. However, Clark soon discovers the dark history of the building, learning that a series of murders was committed there in the 1940s by an uncaught shrieking killer. The plot escalates as someone uses the occult to resurrect the demonic entity, which can morph through walls, ceilings, and floors as it begins to target the group.
