Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles is a Japanese anime television series adaptation based on the light novels written by Yuri Kitayama and illustrated by Riv. Produced by TMS Entertainment, the series premiered on July 6, 2021, and consisted of twelve episodes. The story follows a young boy named Rio who struggles to survive in the slums after the death of his mother. His life changes when he awakens to the memories of Haruto Amakawa, a twenty-year-old college student who died in a traffic accident while dreaming of reuniting with a childhood friend. As the memories and personas of Rio and Haruto fuse, Rio realizes he has been reincarnated into a new world defined by swords and sorcery. Facing his destiny, he must navigate this unfamiliar environment while reconciling his past life with his current existence.
