Overview

Schitt's Creek is a Canadian television sitcom that aired on CBC Television for six seasons between January 13, 2015, and April 7, 2020. The series consists of 80 episodes and was created by Dan Levy and his father, Eugene Levy. The show is produced by Not a Real Company Productions. The story follows the Rose family, who lose their immense fortune after falling victim to fraud. Formerly a wealthy video store magnate, Johnny Rose, played by Eugene Levy, is forced to relocate with his wife, soap star Moira, played by Catherine O'Hara, and their two children, über-hipster son David, played by Dan Levy, and socialite daughter Alexis, played by Annie Murphy. The family is left with only one remaining asset: a small, unsophisticated town called Schitt's Creek, which they had previously purchased as a joke. Stripped of their pampered lives, the family members must navigate their new, humiliating circumstances while learning what it means to be a family within the unfamiliar environment of their new home. Other leading cast members include Emily Hampshire and Noah Reid.
