Saddle Aces is a 1935 Western film directed by Harry L. Fraser with a runtime of 56 minutes. The movie features a cast that includes Rex Bell, Ruth Mix, Buzz Barton, and Stanley Blystone. The plot follows two prisoners, Steve Brandt and Nick Montana, who are chained together. The pair manages to escape by jumping from the train that is transporting them to the penitentiary. While fleeing from the law, they hide in a carriage belonging to a woman named Jane Langton. Upon arriving at her ranch, the men discover that Langton is engaged in a conflict with Pete Sutton, who is attempting to take her pasture. Sutton, who is associated with a large cattle company, seeks to avoid a direct confrontation with the escapees. Instead, he offers to assist Brandt and Montana in their flight to Mexico. The narrative explores the actions of the two men, identified as a convicted murderer and a safe cracker, as they become involved in the struggle to protect the ranch from being swindled.
