Overview
Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts is a 2023 anime television series based on the Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yu Tomofuji. The story takes place in a land where demons live among people and a long-standing tradition requires a human to be sacrificed to the King of Beasts to assert dominance over the human race. When the 99th sacrifice, a girl named Sariphi, is offered to the King, she displays no fear. Intrigued by her calm nature, the King decides to spare her life and chooses to keep her as his consort. The series explores the unfolding relationship between the human girl and the King of Beasts as she is integrated into the demon realm. The source material is licensed in North America by Yen Press.
