Overview

Saber Marionette J is a television series that explores the history of human survival on the planet Terra II. The narrative begins three hundred years after an accident involving an interstellar colonization transport ship known as The Mesopotamia. Following this disaster, the only survivors left on the planet were six males. The story follows a character named Otaru, who is described as a hard-working individual. During a visit to a run-down facility called the Pioneer Museum, Otaru recalls his childhood and observes a painting of a woman titled In the memory of the human female. A trap door beneath him opens, leading him into a hidden room. Inside, he discovers a hibernation capsule housing a female android, which is referred to as a Marionette. The series is related to another production titled Saber Marionette R. The events depicted in the show focus on the consequences of the colonization accident and the subsequent discovery of this advanced technology by the inhabitants of the world.
