S1·E809 Priceless New World

Episode recap

In episode eight hundred nine of the television series Running Man, titled Priceless New World, guests Hwang Kwang Hee and Lee Se Hee join the cast for a themed race. The members arrive in modern Seoul assigned to one of two historical ranks from the Joseon era, taking on the roles of either nobles or slaves.

Beginning the race with vastly different fortunes and starting statuses, the participants must actively work to change their standing before the competition concludes. Throughout the race, the participants navigate the challenges of their assigned positions while aiming to improve their social rank.

As the time limit approaches, the stakes are established for both sides of the hierarchy. Those who manage to rise through the ranks successfully escape the lower tier, while the nobles compete directly for a prize. Conversely, the participants who fail to improve their standing and ultimately remain as slaves at the end of the race must face a penalty.
