Episode recap
In this episode of Running Man, the format pivots around a detective‑themed competition that pits the regular cast against two guest chief detectives, Uhm Jung Hwa and Kim Sang Kyung. The guests assume leadership roles and divide the participants into two opposing teams. One side consists of the three members identified as the “Betrayer Club”—Seok Jin, Haha, and Kwang Soo. Their objective is to separate themselves from the detective authority and gain access to a treasure box that has been placed at the center of the game. The opposing side is composed of the remaining regular cast members, who are tasked with creating composite sketches of the Betrayer Club members in order to “arrest” them within the framework of the game’s detective narrative.
The episode’s structure follows the classic Running Man formula of missions and challenges, but it is framed by the investigative premise. The two guest detectives guide their respective teams through a series of tasks designed to test cooperation, strategy, and speed. While the Betrayer Club members work to evade capture and unlock the treasure, the other contestants focus on gathering clues, assembling accurate sketches, and presenting them to the detectives for formal arrest. The tension escalates as each side strives to outmaneuver the other, with the treasure box serving as the ultimate prize for the team that succeeds in breaking away from the detective role.
Throughout the broadcast, the competition remains intense, with both teams displaying a heightened sense of urgency. The episode emphasizes the dual themes of pursuit and evasion, underscoring the series’ characteristic blend of physical games and comedic rivalry. By the conclusion, the race reaches its most exciting point, as each group pushes its limits to either secure the treasure or complete the arrest operation, encapsulating the high‑energy, game‑centric spirit that defines Running Man.
