The 2013 film Robin Hood depicts a near-future society struggling with the collapse of the European Union, the failure of stock markets, and soaring energy costs. As thousands of citizens lose their homes and face homelessness, the story centers on police officers Alexander Scholl and Sophie Kaiser. The two officers conduct an investigation into DNB, a company identified as a primary contributor to the precarious economic situation in Germany. Despite the discovery of substantial evidence against the firm, CEO Rainer van Kampen successfully avoids legal charges. Faced with this failure of the justice system, Alexander Scholl determines that there is only one remaining path to accountability. He chooses to align himself with a group of outlaws to challenge the status quo. Together, they engage in a series of robberies and account hacking operations. Their primary objective is to publicly expose and pillory financial fraudsters while distributing the stolen assets to those in need.
