Rheingold – Gesichter eines Flusses 2014

Overview

Rheingold – Gesichter eines Flusses is a documentary film released in Germany on August 21, 2014, with a runtime of one hour and thirty-one minutes. The Rhine is described as the center of the European soul and the continent's largest and most important river. Over thousands of years, the river has formed unique cultural landscapes on its journey from the high Alps to the North Sea, where peoples and nature have shaped one another. Starting from the Gotthard massif and heading toward the sea, the Rhine connects six countries, which are Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein, Germany, France, and the Netherlands. For centuries, the river separated Germany from France, but for nearly seventy years it has connected the two nations. Additionally, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Italy fall within the sphere of influence of the river.
