Reba is an American television sitcom starring country music performer Reba McEntire as the titular character, Reba Hart. Created by Allison M. Gibson, the series aired from October 5, 2001, to February 18, 2007. The show is set in a suburb of Houston, Texas, and follows the life of a single mother of three. The narrative begins when Reba Hart’s world is turned upside down after her husband of 20 years, who works as a dentist, leaves her for his dental hygienist. The program explores the complexities of suburban dysfunction and the domestic lives of the family members as they navigate their new circumstances. The series aired for five seasons on The WB before moving to The CW for its sixth and final season following the merger of the two networks. Most episodes were recorded in front of a live studio audience. The cast also features actors JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Steve Howey, and Melissa Peterman, who portray characters navigating life alongside the protagonist.
