S1·E12 Return to the Capital
Synopsis
At the order of the council of elders that manages Lugunica in the king’s absence, Wilhelm and Felix visit Roswaal’s mansion as emissaries. Emilia is required in the imperial capital right away, so Subaru asks her to take him along. Emilia tells him this won’t be a pleasure trip, but a push from Rem and Roswaal ends in her agreement, so Emilia and Subaru head to the capital. Now all of the candidates to be Lugunica’s next king are gathered, and the royal selection is underway.

In the twelfth episode of Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, Subaru and Emilia travel to the imperial capital. Emilia is required to be in the capital immediately, and Subaru asks to accompany her. Initially, Emilia informs Subaru that this will not be a pleasure trip, but eventually agrees to let him join her after being persuaded by Rem and Roswaal.
Upon arrival, the royal selection for Lugunica's next king is underway, with all the candidates gathered in the capital. The council of elders that manages Lugunica in the king's absence has ordered Wilhelm and Felix to visit Roswaal's mansion as emissaries.
