Overview

Queen Rock the World is a documentary film released in Great Britain in 2017. The documentary focuses on the British rock band Queen and their 1977 United States tour in support of their News of the World LP, which featured songs such as We Will Rock You, We Are the Champions, Sheer Heart Attack, and Spread. In 1977, BBC music presenter Bob Harris received exclusive and extensive access to the band. He conducted insightful interviews with all four band members and filmed them working in the studio while planning and rehearsing their forthcoming North American tour. Harris then followed the group as they performed across the United States, capturing a band attempting to replicate their huge domestic success on the global stage. To mark the 40th anniversary of the release of the News of the World album, the footage was carefully restored and revisited to compile the hour-long portrait.
