Gangadhar whips Shambu, but Raghunath tells him that Shambu is a faithful man. Manu discloses the truth to the Peshwa that she had opened the horse's saddle. The Peshwa tells Sakharam to inform Gangadhar and Sakharam apprises Gangadhar that it was just a joke. While practising slingshot, Manu hits a small boy, and his friends challenge Manu to a kabbadi match. Manu wins against them. Gangadhar sees his necklace around Manu's neck, but he is unable to see Manu's face as she is covered with mud.
