Gangadhar asks Kranti Guru to be present, or Samar would be hanged. Marshall is happy that Laxmibai will be exposed. She decides that exposing Kranti Guru will throw a bad light on Gangadhar as a ruler. Laxmibai expresses her concern to Gangadhar about Samar Singh being punished in the absence of Kranti Guru turning up. Gangadhar happens to see a black veil in Laxmibais trunk. He tells her that if ever, she did not tell him the whole truth, then he will consider it as betrayal.
