Overview

Quantum Leap is a television series that serves as a continuation of the story established by the 1989 iteration. The series was created by Donald P. Bellisario, Steven Lilien, and Bryan Wynbrandt. The narrative is set nearly 30 years after Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. In this revival, a new team is assembled to restart the project in hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it. The production stars Raymond Lee, who portrays physicist Ben Song. The premise centers on Ben Song making an unauthorized leap into the past, which leaves his team behind to solve the mystery of why he took that action. The cast also includes Caitlin Bassett, Mason Alexander Park, and Nanrisa Lee. Both seasons of the reboot are available to stream on Netflix. While the series shares its title with a term from physics referring to a discrete unit of energy, the show focuses on the narrative of time travel and the project team.
