Private Eyes is a Canadian comedy-drama television series that premiered in 2016. The program was created by Tim Kilby and Shelley Eriksen and was known as The Code during its initial production phase. The series is based on the novel of the same name written by G.B. Joyce. The narrative follows the professional lives of two investigators who work together to solve crimes located in Toronto. The show stars Jason Priestley as Matt Shade, a former professional hockey player who irrevocably changes his life to pursue this new career path. He works alongside Cindy Sampson, who portrays the fierce private investigator Angie Everett. Together, the pair forms an investigative powerhouse. The cast also features Barry Flatman and Jordyn Negri. The series aired from 2016 until 2021. The production focuses on the partnership between Shade and Everett as they navigate various cases throughout the city.
