Overview

Pretty Cure is a Japanese animated series that blends action, adventure, comedy and fantasy elements for a family audience and carries a TV‑PG rating. The story follows two high‑school students, Nagisa Misumi and Honoka Yukishiro, whose personalities contrast sharply—Nagisa is sporty while Honoka is bookish. Although they attend the same school, the girls have little in common until a meteor‑like shower introduces them to Mepple and Mipple, refugees from the Garden of Light that has fallen under the control of Darkness. Granted extraordinary abilities, Nagisa and Honoka transform into the legendary warriors known as Cure Black and Cure White. As Cure Black and Cure White, they become the titular Pretty Cure, defending the world from the forces that threaten the Garden of Light.
