Overview

Poldark is a British historical drama television series that premiered in 2015. Created and written by Debbie Horsfield, the show is based on a series of novels by Winston Graham. The program, which served as the second BBC adaptation of the source material, ran for five seasons and a total of 43 episodes. The cast includes Aidan Turner, Eleanor Tomlinson, Jack Farthing, and Beatie Edney. Set in 1783, the story begins as Ross Poldark returns to Cornwall following his service in the American War of Independence.
