In the television series Pokemon, an animated anime series originating as a complement to video game franchises, various episodes follow the journeys of Ash and his partner Pikachu as they travel. Specifically, in the episode titled Meowth Rules!, Meowth finds himself on an island where the inhabitants believe him to be a Meowth God.
