Synopsis
In the outskirts of Fuchsia City, our heroes come across Hitmonchan, a fighter-Pokémon. With little thought, Ash attempts to capture it, but he and Pikachu are badly defeated.

In the outskirts of Fuchsia City, Ash and his companions come across a fighter-Pokemon known as Hitmonchan. Acting with little thought, Ash attempts to capture the Pokemon. However, both Ash and his partner Pikachu are badly defeated during the encounter.
The animated series Pokemon, which originally began airing in 1997, follows Ash accompanied by his partner Pikachu as he travels. The television show is a Japanese anime series that was created as a companion to video game franchises. The anime series broadly presents the same story used in the individual video games, though it features a multitude of storyline deviations.
