The party arrives in Celadon City, a perfectly pleasant town full of large department stores, condominiums, and fancy arcades. Pokémon is a Japanese anime television series that originated as a companion to video game franchises. The animated series roughly presents the same story used in the individual video games, but naturally with a number of story detours. The series follows Ash, accompanied by his partner Pikachu, as he travels.
