In season one, episode twenty-eight of PAW Patrol, titled Pups Make a Splash, Cap'n Turbot finds himself in a perilous situation when he gets his boat, The Flounder, stuck on some rocks in the bay. Unless the PAW Patrol intervenes to save him and the vessel, The Flounder faces the very real danger of sinking entirely to the bottom of the bay.

To handle emergencies and protect the people of their town, a tech-savvy ten-year-old named Ryder leads a team of rescue pups. This specialized crew includes Marshall, Rocky, Rubble, Zuma, and Skye, who all do their absolute best to ensure the safety and well-being of the local community. Together, the team must utilize their skills and resources to respond to urgent situations such as Cap'n Turbot's stranded boat.

The television series, which falls under the animation and kids genres, follows Ryder and his dedicated team of canine helpers as they tackle various rescue missions. With The Flounder stuck on the rocks and the threat of it sinking looming large, the PAW Patrol is called upon to deploy their capabilities and handle the crisis in the bay.
