Overview

Orange is a 2016 Japanese anime television series directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki that follows the life of a high school student named Naho Takamiya. The story begins when Naho receives a letter written by her future self from ten years in the future. Although she is initially skeptical, Naho begins to believe the contents of the letter as the described events start to occur in her daily life. The correspondence details the arrival of a new transfer student named Kakeru Naruse and warns Naho to avoid past mistakes involving him. The future version of Naho expresses many regrets and urges her younger self to make different decisions to ensure a better outcome for Kakeru. Most significantly, the letters reveal that Kakeru will no longer be with their group of friends in the future, prompting the younger Naho to watch over him closely.
