Overview

Old Time Buddy is a 1997 Hong Kong period comedy television drama created and produced by TVB. The series is classified under the drama and comedy genres. The story follows bosom friends Yuen and Ki as they try their luck in the show business together. However, it turns out that only Yuen is destined for stardom. Compounding these struggles, Ki is badly defamed when the secret of his father being a murderer is disclosed. Suspecting that Yuen is behind this revelation, the two friends become enemies. The narrative also touches upon events thirty years later involving Yuen, Ki, Fong, and others connected to this historical period in the entertainment industry.
