Occult Academy is a 2010 television series centered on the Waldstein Academy, an educational institution dedicated to the study of paranormal disciplines. The narrative begins when Maya Kumashiro returns to the school to attend the funeral of her father, the former principal Junichiro Kumashiro. Despite the nature of the academy, Maya is a skeptic who harbors a deep dislike for the occult. Her perspective is challenged when she encounters Fumiaki Uchida, a time agent who has traveled from the future to the year 1999. Fumiaki arrives with the mission of preventing the realization of the Nostradamus Prophecies, which predict an impending apocalypse.
