Ninja Warrior Germany 2016

Overview

Ninja Warrior Germany is a television game show that premiered in 2016 as the German adaptation of the original Japanese program Sasuke. Produced by RTL Studios GmbH and broadcast on RTL, the series features participants who must navigate a series of challenging obstacle courses. Each competition begins with 100 individuals, consisting of both professional and hobby athletes. These candidates perform individually, attempting to complete the first course situated over water basins. Success in the competition requires a combination of stamina, agility, and strength, as participants are eliminated if they are not fast enough or if they make contact with the water. The format divides the full progression of runs into several individual episodes until a winner is determined. Over the course of the series, the show has expanded to include various iterations, such as celebrity specials, team competitions, and a version for children. In 2021, the program saw its first participant successfully complete the entire obstacle course to be crowned a Ninja Warrior of Germany.
