New York Undercover is an American police drama that aired on the Fox television network. The series stars Detective J.C. Williams and Detective Eddie Torres, two undercover detectives in New York City's Fourth Precinct. The show was created by Kevin Arkadie and Dick Wolf and features a cast including Malik Yoba as Detective J.C. Williams and Michael DeLorenzo as Detective Eddie Torres. The detectives are assigned to investigate various crimes and gang-related cases. Their boss, Lt. Virginia Cooper, is tough but fair in her dealings with them. The series explores the balance between their stressful work duties and their own personal demands. New York Undercover premiered on September 8, 1994, and ran until June 25, 1998.
