Sheila however decides to organize an engagement party anyway, to reunite the family, but remains an outcast among declining Cannings on account of a single dispute with offspring. Gemma promises Chris, whom Sheila asked to collect addresses, to contact all Canning clan members, but doesn't. Bailey accepts Gemma's failure to support his bid for the China exchange as she offers to date him, behind Susan's back. Imogen is late and objects to due detention as preparing the school dance is no excuse, then complains to Susan about 'discrimination of girls', but has no proof, so Gemma only gets a formal notice.
