Synopsis
Tony disappears while doing an undercover operation as an escaped prisoner who is forced to stick to a convict that owns a key to an expensive ancient Iraqi sculpture. The GPS locator that Abby planted on Tony stops working and the team are forced to find Tony before he gets murdered by the thief.

In the tenth episode of the second season of NCIS, titled Chained, the team faces a critical situation involving one of their own. Tony goes missing while conducting an undercover operation. For the assignment, he assumes the identity of an escaped prisoner. In this role, he is forced to remain physically tethered to a convict who possesses the key to a valuable ancient Iraqi sculpture.
The situation escalates when the GPS locator device, which had been planted on Tony by Abby to track his movements and ensure his safety, ceases to function. With the tracking technology offline, the team loses contact with Tony and is unable to determine his location. The members of the NCIS team are then forced to initiate a search to find Tony before he is murdered by the thief he is chained to.
