Nancy Nancy is a comedy, crime, and thriller film released in Australia on October 3, 2026, with a runtime of one hour and forty-five minutes. Twenty years after writer and director Timothy Spanos first unleashed the original Nancy Nancy in 2006, he returned to his cult creation to rebuild it for a new generation. Set on Warratah Island, the film follows a pair of siblings whose quiet existence is shattered when a mysterious stranger barges into their home, introduces herself as Nancy Nancy, and simply refuses to leave. What follows is a surreal and darkly comic exercise in control, humiliation, and madness as their unwanted houseguest bends the siblings to her increasingly bizarre will. The film combines elements of comedy, crime, and thriller genres into a narrative exploring the psychological unraveling of the siblings under the influence of their eccentric and uninvited visitor.
