Overview
My Hero is a BBC sitcom created by Paul Mendelson that initially aired in February 2000. The programme consists of six series and concluded in September 2006. The show follows the character Thermoman, a dim-witted superhero, who is portrayed by Ardal O'Hanlon for the majority of the series and by James Dreyfus in the final series. The series was regularly directed by John Stroud. My Hero has been broadcast in several countries, including the United States where it was shown on PBS and briefly on BBC America. In the UK, the digital channel Gold regularly re-runs the programme, although the last series has yet to appear on the channel. The show has also been re-run in Australia on UKTV.
