Sixty years later, in 1998, Fong lives in Hong Kong under a new name, Fong Tin Yau, and works as a policeman. He shares a home with Fuk Sang, who pretends to be his son and attends primary school. The series follows Fong's life in Hong Kong, including his interactions with Ma Siu Ling, the heiress of a clan of ghostbusters, and Wong Jan Jan, Ma's close friend and confidante.
