Overview

MÄR: Märchen Awakens Romance is a Japanese television anime series that aired from 2005 to 2007. Based on the manga series written and illustrated by Nobuyuki Anzai, the show was directed by Masaharu Okuwaki. The story follows a young boy named Toramizu Ginta, who dreams of a magical world every night. While his peers slander him for these dreams, his friend Koyuki remains supportive. Ginta’s wishes are eventually granted when a large door appears, transporting him to a land called MAR Heaven. In this realm, Ginta discovers the existence of magical weapons known as ARMS. Although he initially enjoys exploring this new world, he soon learns of the historical wars that once plagued the land and discovers that a new conflict is approaching. The television series, which is also titled MÄR -MÄR Heaven-, consists of 102 episodes across four seasons. The English dub cast includes Michael McConnohie, Spike Spencer, Wendee Lee, and Bryce Papenbrook, while the original Japanese version features actors including Makoto Yasumura, Kisho Taniyama, and Mitsuki Saiga.
