Overview

Mountain Pass is a feature film released in 1978 that falls into the comedy and drama genres with a runtime of one hour and forty-eight minutes. The story begins when Serge, a dweller in the French provinces played by Stevenin, happens upon a Parisian motorist in distress named Georges, portrayed by Jacques Villeret. Serge arranges for the disabled car to be taken to a nearby garage. Because Georges' friends, who were traveling with him in the vehicle, have already continued their journeys, Serge takes Georges under his wing while the car undergoes repairs. During this waiting period, the two men tour the countryside and party together with local revelers. Although nothing much is spoken between them during these outings, it becomes clear that a friendship has formed between the provincial resident and the stranded Parisian.
