Overview

Moonlit Reunion is a 2025 Chinese drama series that follows the lives of two individuals in Chang'an City. The story centers on Mei Zhuyu, a reserved nobleman and official at the Bureau of Mystic Investigations who is skilled in demon slaying and trained in Taoism. He encounters Wu Zhen, the bold sister of the Empress and daughter of the Duke of Henan, who is known in the city as a notorious dandy. While Wu Zhen appears pampered, she is a half-demon and secret Guardian of the Demon Underworld who inherited her power after being rescued by a cat master. Both characters possess spirit-sighted abilities and hide their true identities from one another. As bone demons rise and civil unrest grows, the pair investigates the truth behind a fire that occurred eighteen years ago. Their partnership evolves into a deep bond as they fight to maintain peace, eventually facing a purge launched by the Changxi Palace. The series features actors Kai Xu, Xiwei Tian, Jiayi Wang, and Junting Wu.
