Overview

Monster Eater is a fantasy adventure television series that follows the story of Rude, an E-rank adventurer with limited combat abilities. His sole skill is Status Ailment Nullification, which allows him to resist harmful effects but is considered only useful for collecting medicinal herbs in dangerous dungeon environments. Fellow adventurers mock him with the nickname Miasma Scavenger due to his low ranking and specialized ability. The series begins when Rude makes a desperate attempt to improve his circumstances by entering a new dungeon. However, his party members betray him during the expedition, abandoning him without supplies in a perilous situation. Facing certain death, Rude makes an unconventional choice that fundamentally changes his approach to adventuring. The show explores his subsequent journey as he develops new capabilities through an unusual method involving monster consumption.
