In the episode Caught in the Act of the television series Modern Family, the story centers around Phil and Claire as they celebrate their anniversary. When the children attempt to surprise them with breakfast in bed, the children receive a surprise of their own. Meanwhile, Jay and Gloria experience a ruined vacation to Las Vegas because of a brutally honest email that was accidentally sent to Claire. Elsewhere, Mitchell and Cam attempt to gain entry into a new restaurant owned by a mother at Lily's preschool. The television series follows the lives of three diverse but interrelated family set-ups living in suburban Los Angeles.
