Mocro Maffia is a crime and action adventure television series that premiered in 2018. The fictional series centers on best friends Romano, Pencil, and The Pope, who transition from petty crime and rise quickly through the ranks of the criminal underworld to control Amsterdam's entire cocaine trade.
As their power grows, jealousy tears their union apart. The Pope joins his old friend, Tatta, to rip off Romano and Pencil. However, the deal fails, resulting in the deaths of two of The Pope's men and igniting an overdue gang war on the streets of Amsterdam. Amidst the escalating conflict, retired criminal journalist Rein de Kort investigates the dangerous Amsterdam underworld.
The series features cast members Robert de Hoog, Walid Benmbarek, Khalid Alterch, and Iliass Ojja. The title refers to criminal organizations primarily made up of people of Moroccan descent operating within the criminal landscape.
