Overview
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid is an anime television series created by Coolkyoushinja. The story follows a hard-working office lady named Kobayashi who lives alone in an apartment until her life changes after she drunkenly saves a dragon. In an effort to repay her debt, the dragon, named Tohru, takes on human form and moves in to serve as Kobayashi's maid. Although Tohru initially views humans as inferior and foolish, she attempts to assist Kobayashi with various tasks, though these efforts do not always proceed as planned. This mythical everyday life comedy explores the domestic arrangement between the two characters. The series adaptation was produced by Kyoto Animation and originally aired in Japan between January and April 2017. A second season, titled Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S, followed between July and September 2021. The program is available for streaming on platforms such as Netflix and Prime Video. Additionally, the franchise includes a video game titled Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: Burst Forth!! and features voice performances by Mutsumi Tamura, Yûki Kuwahara, Maria Naganawa, and Shin'ya Takahashi.
