In the first episode of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir, titled Stormy Weather, the plot centers on the loser of a kids channel contest who becomes akumatized by Hawk Moth. Transforming into Stormy Weather, she seeks revenge on those who did not vote for her, bringing dark skies to Paris. The series follows Marinette and Adrien, two Parisian teenagers who are entrusted with powers. The show is an action, adventure, animation, and kids television series that premiered in 2015, drawing homage to the superhero and magical girl genre through its transformations.
