The film stars Melissa Leo, Bella Thorne, Jake Weary, Kevin Corrigan, Benedict Samuel, and Adrian Martinez, and was released in the United States on March 18, 2022. The story follows theater actress Lillian Cooper after her son dies mysteriously. When the investigating officer rules the cause of death an accidental overdose, Lillian conducts her own investigation. This leads her to form an unlikely alliance with her son's former drug dealer. On her quest for answers, Lillian hallucinates some of the iconic characters she has played on stage. These hallucinations serve as her inner voice, urging her to avenge her son's death.
