Overview

Matchless Raijin-Oh is a 1991 television series centered on the conflict between a warrior of light named Eldran and the Jaku Empire from the 5th-dimensional world. During a battle, Eldran and his robot, Raijin-Oh, sustain injuries and fall into a 5th grade classroom at Hinobori School. Following this event, the students of the class form the Earth Defense Class. Because Eldran is damaged and unable to continue the fight, the students take up the responsibility of protecting the Earth from the Jaku Empire. The narrative follows these children as they assume the role of defenders in place of the injured warrior. The series documents how the students manage their new duties while operating within the context of their school life. This production highlights the transition of power from the original warrior to the young class members who must face the 5th-dimensional threat to ensure the safety of the planet.
