Overview

Masters of the Universe is a 1987 American sword and sorcery film based on the toy franchise of the same name created by Mattel. Directed by Gary Goddard and produced by Yoram Globus and Menahem Golan, the film was written by David Odell. It stars Dolph Lundgren as the heroic warrior He-Man, who battles the evil Skeletor, portrayed by Frank Langella. The story follows He-Man as he attempts to stop Skeletor from using the powerful Cosmic Key to gain ultimate power. During the conflict, one of the keys is transported to Earth, where it is discovered by two teenagers, Julie and Kevin. The film also features supporting performances by Meg Foster and Billy Barty.
